But she sure don't like australia...
This boar Journal is really lagging.
To both of you, we are so sorry. The crazy thing is that half of the problem, is how many rad pictures Jay Walker takes everyday.
At this show in Sweden, with a million of our best friends, he took 600 pictures, Fuck.
Lets start with Lagwagon, we had not done a show with them in so long, so that was super special.
This show was seriously the best day on warped tour, but without some sissy in tight pants screaming at you half the time.
The quadrant of hate reunion was outstanding, though there really wasn't anyone to keep out.
Eventually NOFX got to play, what a mess.
And Flogging Molly were there, and Bad Religion were there, and Randy were there, and and and and...
This will be the last entry on this mega party called the west coast riot in Goethenberg Sweden.

Lots of quick line changes.
Substitutions and cause confusion, but its illusion. Ask a Penguin?
Dear Fans of the Bore Journal,
we need to extend apologies to both of you for our lack of Bore on this short jaunt, due to the abundance of friends and family in the Great Northwest and mega assholes controlling both sides of the border, there has been precious little time. We will get it together right after tour and update it fully with out misadventures.
Here we are in Antarctica, take that Fall Out Boy!

Jennifer Abeyta fills in for her husband on the guitar during the Decline in Austin TX
El Paso was boring, nothing happened at all.
Jacksonville Florida, so Florida it ain't even Florida.
So here's what happened, Mike gets this girl to let him wear her sweet hat during the show, then at the end, he throws it into the crowd. Girl gets a and cop brings him backstage. The girl is crying (literally) that Mike "stole" her $130 hat. Mike offers $105 nope, $110 nope, $120 nope... fine he gives her $130, the cop can't even believe it.
Well here we are back on tour under the orange alert in Florida, finally we feel safe again.
For a couple of days, there were only women selling T-Shirts, neat.
Melvin's a Gimme!!!1
after 16 hours of delays and diversions Eric Melvin's Me First and the Gimme Gimmes arrive in Australia and nearly rock Brisbane.
Were at nude beaches, frolicking with the Kangaroo's and eating Pies.
Fat Mike is bowling, must be 40.
Eric Melvin's Chinese Hockey Adventure-Day 6
Eric Melvin's Chinese Hockey Adventure-Day 5
Eric Melvin's Chinese Hockey Adventure Day 3
Eric Melvin's Chinese Hockey Adventure
On our first morning, we went to the Great Wall of China. Ok, I’ve already ‘been there, done that’ with NOFX, but this time is different. This time, it’s nearly freezing! And blowing so cold!
Pay no attention to the my team mate here next to me barely wearing a jacket, he’s got Russian blood flowing in his veins. See the wall behind us?
Day 1, Game1:
We lost to the Chinese 11-7, but I don’t mind, I’m used to losing. My San Francisco team hasn’t won a game yet either. Hmmm, what’s the common factor here? Let me think, what could it be….Oh yeah, we’re both new teams!
I’ll send pictures as soon as I get a hold of some.
Day 1, After game
We drank chinese beers in a shuttle to the station, and then carry all our crap a mile to the platform. My legs are gonna be sore. Get on the train in Beijing for an overnight ride to Changchun.
Check out me and my other team mates trying to fit four guys, bags and hockey gear into a sleeper on the train. Oh yeah, I'm trying to grow a mustache for the Gimmes tour. And see that cut on my forehead? Aren't hockey injuries cool? Well this one isn't one of those
More Spain, birmingham revisited and Spaniards in Monstour T-shirts are neat.
Out of Africa
Spain was a blast, we had not been there in a long time, it was nice ya'll still care.
Animals are neat. People are less neat.
Before we went, everyone was on and on about how dangerous Johannesburg was, the only thing that happened was the small ipod that we used to play music between bands was stolen, by some douche at the show. the rest of the time we were totally fine.
On serious note we did go on a tour of Soweto, we saw the big house Winnie got in the divorce, and the monument which read "In memory of Hector Peterson and all the young heros and heroines of our stuggle who laid down their lives for freedom, peace and democracy." google it.
South Africa? Oh ya, we did some shows while we were there.
They had a Robot to run sound, and the fencing was amazing.
oh and safety was a priority at all times.
Here we are still in Africa, we went to the very bottom edge of the continent, it was neat.
We saw whales, they were neat.
We ate worms, they were not so neat
Here we are at the very end of the "Dark Continent"
it was pretty awesome, big thanks to Nick, ,J Bones and Malcolm and all the people that took such great care of us down there.
Hi Africa, here we are, our second to last continent, and probably our last, seeing as how no one is likely to invite us to antarctica to play their research base.
Day Three in the UK, Bristol. What a great town, to bad its not at all in anyway one little bit punk.
With one exception, it totally is.
London London oh how we love thee, you never let us down do you?
Another big night at the Brixton Academy, neat.
First show in the UK was pretty fun,Tat opened then The Loved Ones played. Dave Hause play the guitar on the end of the Decline
NOFX Arrive inthe UK
be sure this will be boooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrinnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!
But the next stop is South Africa, for real.
Last day, Budapest Hungary, no much to report, Ignite played again, the singer Zoli is from here.
Vlad III the Impaler (Vlad ?epe? IPA: ['tsepe?] in common Romanian reference; also known as Vlad Dracula or Vlad Dr?culea and Kaz?kl? Bey in Turkish; November or December, 1431 – December 1476) was Prince (voivode) of Wallachia, a former polity that is now part of Romania. His three reigns were in 1448, 1456–62, and 1476. In the English-speaking world, Vlad is best known for the legends of the exceedingly cruel punishments he imposed during his reign and for supposedly serving as the primary inspiration for the vampire main character in Bram Stoker's popular Dracula novel.
As king, he maintained an independent policy in relation to the Ottoman Empire, and in Romania he is viewed by many as a prince with a deep sense of justice[1] and a defender of Wallachia against Ottoman expansionism.
The next Stop is Sofia Bulgaria, seemed like people came form far and wide to this show, and Ignite played they are nice.
Istanbul but we still preffer Constantinople, the Club was dark and being in it for 2 hours was like smoking 3 packs of cigarettes, tough place to be a fish and the load in was Bizarre
All in All Israel was super awesome, so many people asked if we were scared to go there, and really its way scarier in Detroit, Oakland, LA, Florida etc.
Last show in Israel, Haifa was very eventful.
Mike broke his Bass on Melvins head, it didn't even slow Melvin down. we did have to borrow a Bass to finnish the show
Things got crazier by the hour in Israel, some French kids tried to convince us we had to go to Palestine, but Jews in Palestine, NOT A HOT ITEM.
We did play Tel Aviv and it was one of the best shows of all time.
Day One in Israel, Jerusalem went to the Wailing wall Mike and Melvin got wrapped up and did some reading.
Jerusalem has many sites, we missed most of em.
Day off in Tel Aviv, is a day full of sunshine and happiness.
In Fact it was the hottest day of the year, pleanty of powder required. we walked and walked and walked in Jaffa saw lots of old stuff.
At Last the Jews have made it to Israel, and boy is it hot.
Hummus and Falafel flow like lava.
Safely out of Russia we played some festivals with some very "Big Deal" Groups, in Germany, Austria and Italy, before embarking on our adventure in Israel.
BIG Rock Festival in Germany, and the didn't get enough extention chords for NIN's lights, so we all had to suffer.
Toady in Austria we played a festival with The Bloodhound Gang. Those guys are nuts pissing and puking on each other, highly recommended, high value entertainment.
Mike and Evil Jared Hasselhoff found they had a lot in common.
Still in Russia still fun. "Not one thing about this place wasn't awesome"-Fat Mike
Russia
Did we mention the Mad Caddies we there? Did we mention that we all went to Red Square after the show? Did we mention we all took the overnight train from St Petersburg to Moscow and wrecked it?
Everyone kept saying,"Why hurry there plenty of time to get to the airport, why all the Russian?"
St Petersburg was okay, 4th best show of the tour, but Moscow was amazing fun. soooo sorry to everyone that had tickets and only got as far as the stairs.
Finlands over time to get the train to Russia, first stop St Petersburg.
After Germany we went to Trondheim Norway , here is a view of the stage from the hotel.
Norway sure was nice after that we flew to Finland
here we are back on the Road first stop Germany for rehearsal and a punk show.
Bali, Bali ,Bali... how did you all know we were playing at the Hard Rock? oh ya Melvins flyering drew a 1000 people or 400 if you ask the Hard Rock. your guess is as good as ours, but who cares the whole thing was sure fun.
So today we fly to Bali,no idea if we are going to getto play but what the hell else are we going to do. Besides Smelly has a surf boat to catch and the rest of us need some relaxation no matter what.
Jakarta's alright, if you like standing water and Chaos.
Actually the show went off without a hitch, and it was huge!
All those cops were actually really cool, everyone stayed calm and there didn't appear to be any violence or confrontation, which is good cause the cops all had cane's for persuasion.
No female officers in Indo, to bad.
Jakarta Jakarta!!!!!!!
The space between the Stage and the Barracade was bigger than most of the clubs we had played on this tour.
The sound and lights were full Euro festival quality. But there was not even drinking water no food no nothing for the Audience what a mess
we are really sorry about all that.
Fucking Singapore!
Awesome Jon and RAZI RAZAK and everyone did a killer job and put on a great show.
420 bro and we'll never forget the Sinapore Green!
Kuala Lumpur where are you?
The show was awesome, nobody took any pictures.
We were not offended by the kid that got all emo about Hefe's headwear, it's all fun and games.
Manila was cool, we had some killer food Alex "Phat Boy Lim" took Good Care of us. we went on some adventures.
Okay we kinda got behind, flying crazy airlines and playing crazy shows for crazy promoters in crazy places everyday will tend to eat up a lot of spare time.
Boy did we Tie won on last night in Taiwan.
Taipei negative on that joke, idiot.
Taipei show was great, Consider the Meek was Great, Kev Lee and Saphire are Great. Golly everything is awesome.
We dig Taiwan
Out of China and on to Taipei
The show in China was pretty awesome, but more on that later.
If you ever fly out of Beijing, definitly allow the 3 hours recommended, it harder to get out of China than it is to get in.
Beijing, Press conference, first and only...
...ever.
Still in Seoul we are flying to Beijing Today, if we can get these photos through the censorship there will be some soon.
Bore Journal in real Time now.
so here we are in Seoul Korea, the show was super duper fun, first sell-out since 2002 they said.
Some said certain bands had the same amount of people but in Arenas, but were not naming any names here.
Korea Korea Korea, we didn't know how good we had it until we were gone.
Kevin, Kimmy and everyone else involved were totally awesome, and put on a fantastic show.
Japan tour drwing to a close. its been a lot of fun but were beat.

Japans Punkspring Festival was a huge suckcess.
Nothing beats 200 punkbands in an aiport hanger, with the Audience 400 feet from the bands.
but seriously there were a bunch of great bands and everyone involved was super cool and we thank you all sincerely.
Still at Punkspring what a great party.
so many so nice people came.

New Zealand will be a bummer for him, so go easy, ya'll.
Then the long flght to Perth, the land where James Straker comes from.
the people on our plane did not dig us.

Then the next morning Hefe and Mike did the Radio at 7 AM with Jay and the Doctor from Frenzel Rhomb.
Johnny Cakes from The Sopranos and Jeff Penalty from the Dead Kennedys are becoming closer by the day.
No one really knows why the Jeff dude is around or what he did with Jello.

Not even as boring as ours, especially the church one from the House Frau!
The Best of South America
Since we don't have any pictures of the tennis court we played next to the swimming pool in Ecuador, it was awesome.
Santiago de Chile
Mucho Bueno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best show of the tour!!!!! Buenos Aries and Curitiba both tied for 2nd
don't worry Brasil and Argentina we have more pictures of you, but it may take some time.
for now see two national heros and be proud.
Still in Chile tomorrow we go to Ecuador the Flight at 6:25 AM
That is a really nice time to fly, no traffic on the way to the airport. No Sleep to speak of. But whos complaining ecuador was so worth it.
Part 3 Peru.
Fucking disaster see main page for the story.
We will be back, it may take a while but we will.
ACAB.
Airplane Fun!!!!!
the great thing about touring South America is that you get to get on a plane almost everyday.
Sound fun? It ain't.
More Argentina Mike and Smelly didn't call before they came to the show. How embarrassing for them but good for The Bouncing Souls.
Part 2 Argentina
2 shows in Buenos Aries, super fun.
Big Thanks to everyone there especially our new trombone player. Does anyone know his name?
More bore Brasil was pretty uneventful, 4 good shows in four days 4 flights 4 hotels much thanks to Cesar, Gabriel, erica ,Gun to the head Fred and all the rest of the people that made it happen.
Brasil (thats how they spell it.)
what a fuckiing great time this place is so fun, not just the food on swords and crazy drinks the police are so nice they just take money instead of taking you to jail, so we still have a sound guy. Sweet.
South America!!!!!!!!!!
Part 1: Brasil
Fat Mike was on the Warped tour.
heres proof.
Hefe turned 29 today, soooo fun, Guitar hero BBQ, good times
The warped tour was so long ago its a blur, at our age it would be a blur if it was yesterday.
Here's some that happened in Seattle, well way out in the middle of Washington actually, if you've never been to the Gorge you should go there right now.
Florida=Hot
10 days or so to California and all the nisery will be behind us.
Milwaukee is pretty cool.
Minniapolis is way coller.
Kansas City is hot but we expect it to get hotter.
Day one on the Warped tour, Baltimore Suburb.
Day two on the warped tour, Columbus OH.
Week one of the warped tour. Sweaty hot silly
880 people on a tour is a bit more than normal.
Fatty know all thier names and Hefe knows none.
Getting Ready for warped tour is serious business.
Most bands rehearse Melvin decided to throw an engagement party BarBQ for Michelle and Colin
so there.
Today we finnished our intensive rehearsals. Go figure we still know all our stupid songs (mostly). And Hefe still knows all his cheezy rock moves.
Its been a nice break but its back to work for the least hardest working band in shoe biz. Today we stared intensive rehearsals for the Warped Tour.
Big Day! Seein Yellow?
Since our new record came out today, Eric Melvin decided to take a trip down to Fat.
Surprise We got you a cake. Since you were not at home, it came right back to us.
Sure was lucky you were here.
Okay so people who were there keep asking, and since we are doing nothing until the Warped tour starts on June 14 we hope these hold you over. The infamous night of March 3rd 2006
Mike eventually falls off the stage after Smelly pantsed him and he lost the ability to play bass. This was a turning point, a pinnicale so to speak.
Big thanks to the person who sent us these.
While in LA Mike went and taped a Radio interview with Joe Sibb.
Joe tried to trick Mike into drinking water. Yuck.
So we went to LA to play some Free secret shows.
The Whisky on Monday and the Roxy on Thursday.
There are a lot of very famous people in LA, none of em came to our shows.
Seeing double at the Triple Rock, literally, but first a full day of shooting a video. who knew it took that long, no wonder we have avoided it. Gretchen and Erik and everyone at the Triple Rock Social Club were awesome and their hospitality was unmatched. In the end we ended up right where you would have expected.
Chicago. Two shows, one night=bad idea.
The final entry of the Bra Journal
Welcome to the Bra Journal, though we all prefer black, but beggars can't be choosers.
BORING Boring Boring!
who can imagine how boring tour really is?
Mike and Shippley at Norva now that is boring.

Answers
1. we can only update this bullshit if we do anything but were trying our best.
2.New record "Wolves in Wolves Clothing" out in April,
but... "Never trust a Hippie" ep in March
On Fat. duh.
3. "20 years of fucking up" DVD, uh, looking more like 25.
Back home from Japan, still working on this record.
not much really new or news. Mixing, the last step, takes a long time and there is a lot of down time for us while Jason and Bill do ? to the songs,we don't know, but it really seems to be working. then we give input, then they pretend to listen to us, then we move on. We think it sounds really good, but smells really bad. (Bill=Gas)
Still Japan, at the end of The Decline Hefe can't play Trombone and Guitar, so we enlist some super celebs to play the three chords required. YippppeeeeeeeDooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
Funny things happen when your far away.
Japanese fans are very enthusiastic.
and forgiving.
We went to Sendai it was wierd small city=small show
The Japanese audiences are so polite they cheer after the song then go comletely silent so they hear every workd of non-sence we spout. were sorry.
Wierd stuff we saw it the streets.
Finnaly in Tokyo, we had to get this guy to interpret for the Decline. No one understood our guitar playing.
he plays guitar in both English and japanese
so far we have had a great time.
The Big Day finally arrived our show in Hong Kong China!!!
it was super fun, a million thanks to Karen Tang, Riz and everyone else who put the show together.
Last day in Hong Kong it was a great time we saw lots, ate more and party all night.
we went and saw a huge Buddha it was really old, they finnished building it all the way back in 1993.
The Buddha made us dinner then we went and got back on the sketchy bus and went back to the YMCA.
so here we are in Hong Kong, pretty interesting . The night we got here we went out walking all over lots of lights and people.
then we ate food.
Just about time to take a break to go to Hong Kong we have never been there before so in a couple weeks we should have some interesting stuff here, for now its the bottom of the barrel boring.
Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Guitar Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah singing Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Bass Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Drumming Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah .
Still going... day in day out, wish there was something even slightly interesting to report. The Album is coming along just fine.
Guitar Strumed Drums Drummed and Melvin Screams and Yells. The whole time noses are being held.
The #1 fuel at Motor, Burritos, everyone knows San Francisco has the best in the world. Bill seems happy to eat Burritos for every meal, it really helps him hold up his end of the deal.
The team from The Blasting Room showed up at Motor to take over and run the show for this record. Bill, Jason and Andrew are pretty fun. Jason runs the knobs, Andrew is the tech whizz, while Bill is in charge of flatulation. (probably the most important job in any enclosed space.)
Time to make a record. Now this Bore Journal gets exciting. Anyone who has been to a recording studio knows that its a thrill a minute. The preparations were extensive, weeks of long hours in the jam room hamering out every note, chord and melody.
We did get to sign a NOFX limited edition Skul skates board that they auctioned off in LA, the money goes to the hurricane relief effort. They got $750 for this thing, to which Smelly would have said "Your Stupid" but since it was for a good cause he didn't.
So here we are back at Motor Studios trying to get some more 7 inches done and make ready for making a new full length album (due out next spring if were lucky) and of course we get totally distracted by Fat Wreck Chords making us do photo shoots and sending over bags of fruit for us to eat, which we just juggled.
Smelly considers side project of bass player in wedding band. Everyone else is a cover band why not me?
Last day of tour BIG Festival in Italy. it was the first year and it was a huge sucess. Lots of big stars hangin out back stage.
Fat Mike of the concert band Me First and the Gimme Gimmes hangs and takes photos with fans in his favorite country in all of southern europe.
Back on tour with NOFX weekend number two after Mike split to play three shows with the Gimmes. now we are all together for three unpresidented shows, NOFX and the Gimmes on the same Bill.
Reading Festival was a real good time.
9 pm bus call to beat traffic, once again turned into 1 am to follow traffic a good time was had by all.
Hefe hangs with BRUCE DICKINSON
Rock am See in Constanz Germany no so good Al.
Mike makes a new friend which causes him to
seriously reconsider his Fashion sense.
Leeds was fun, not the show so much as hanging with the Trio and everyone else back stage.
Mike learn how to look proper punk for our old pal Goober Tom the Goober, now of the Toy Dolls.
Hefe learned a thing or to as well.
So here we are back on tour another lengthy jaunt, 6 show with three days off in the Middle. Its all very big important festivals starting with Leeds here in the UK. Play on the same stage as Iggy Pop! Alkaline Trio! not mention Marilyn Manson and Iron Maiden and Holly Shit were we bad. You see what happened was, we got Lost in London for two hours trying to find the rehearsal space, thanks to our Limey friend Ed the Duck who was driving us.
The place had a no noise after 11 rule, so when we finally got going at 10:15 we were fucked. Luckily we only had to be up at 6 am to drive up north to Leeds and play the first show in front of 5 billion people. Needless to say it showed. Plus Mike goes and plays his first sober show in at least 3 years, talk about uncomfortable.
Quebec City, Quebec, Canada with our old pals Good Riddance wow was that a good time. Some Americans we met at dinner drove 750 miles, we didn't give them any of our food. They were far more excited than the Canadiens. (no Hockey =sad Canada)
More Montreal!
The Against Me! band show there support for French Canada.
We had a big bowling party and Mike and Melvin did an interview for Jewish TV
June 24th off to Montreal it is Saint Jean Baptiste day which means Riots and crazy Québécois. So pretty much a normal day in Quebec. We had three fun shows there. Jose Theodore played Bob with us, next time the Montreal Canadiens play the LA Kings Melvin will get to play one period in Goal, should be good for the Kings.
Once we got to Toronto we had a great time, we went to Partys with Nubs,Bar B Qs with Nubs and more Partys with Nubs
We had a great bar B Q at Melanie K's (Fat Canada) house over in Toron-to. We ate all kinds of Canuck delicacies like Grilled Back Bacon and Grilled Beer. The Weather was terrific. The Cooks did a super Job, even the Vegans were stoked. And the Free Range, Organic, Nice Guy, Holistic, Butcher closed for the day after our manager left, cause there was nothing left to sell.
Slims was Fun but we had to move on cause it was driving us crazy. So off we flew to Canada for the big, 6 show Eastern Canadian tour.
June 20th 2005 Slims 400 tickets sold 250 guests.
Actually show days are the worst... talk about boring! we couldn't wait to get back to Melvins for fun.
Today was the first day of three days of intesive rehearsals, in preparation for the big 7 day tour. When asked why we had three whole days of practice, we declined to answer.
After lots of dicking around rehearsal is under way, Hefe has a new big trumpet, and lets say Smellys stamina ain't up to Snuff
After getting one song down tightish, it was off to dinner.
Henry's Hunan for Hunan soup, Hunan green beans, Diana's Pie and Hunan Henry's Special Sauce.
The Real McKenzies recommended Henry's Hunan so you know it's good.
Things are really in full swing now, were up to five 7 inches out, and two more off to the old phonograph pressing plant.
Alright now were making some real progress. This is really gonna get the kids going. Melvin is running the show and it is off the handle.
Well things are moving along at a Turtle's pace. Some songs may get played, learned, recorded. Or maybe we will just hang out and eat. Shit, we gotta get out, because the Real McKenzies gotta record.
Back from Hawaii we are back in the studio.
Doing a 7 inch every month is a lot of work, and the crazy thing is they need to be done in advance. So we start by getting everyone to SF and trying to get something done.
Going to Hawaii is kinda like time travel back to the 70's everyone is bare foot and laid back, and every punk show is like a Led Zepplin concert.
The ever generous Smelly throws sticks up to the adults in the Balcony. After another set in the dark.
Okay here it is,were up and Running. We will backtrack a bit to the very beginning of 2005. We went to Hawaii, and played one show. Our friend Tina took some good pictures of the concert but this will be the only and last time you see photos of us on stage because that is too boring and predictable even for the Bore Journal.
